Team software and personal swim progress are different jobs
Club platforms are excellent at team operations. Families still need a durable personal record that travels with the swimmer across seasons, clubs, and age groups. Those are complementary jobs, not the same product.
What team systems are optimized for
Team and meet platforms typically focus on rosters, coach communication, meet entries, billing, attendance, and club-wide administration. Tools such as Commit Swimming serve coaches and club operations. That work matters — and PaceTraq is not trying to replace it.
What families still need outside the team system
Parents and swimmers often want a quieter, personal layer: history they control, goals they chose, practice reflection, and standards progress that is easy to revisit after a long weekend. That personal layer should still work if a family changes clubs or a swimmer ages up.
- Personal bests and multi-season history owned by the household
- Season goals that are not buried in team announcements
- Practice notes and volume the family can review together
- Standards progress explained in plain language
How PaceTraq positions itself
PaceTraq complements team software. Use your club's tools for team operations; use PaceTraq for the swimmer's development story. Do not expect PaceTraq to match every team-admin feature, automatic meet-database replacement, or native App Store / Play Store installs yet — the product available today is the PaceTraq web app, with native app experience still in development.
